How long will it take to canoe 10 miles? - canoe buffalo river arkansas
My husband is canoeing on the Buffalo River in Arkansas and is now trying, at which time they understand. Does anyone know a rough estimate - have much experience, but is likely to take up your time because you are a friend.

I would allow at least a half day. Everything depends on river conditions, and what part of the river you are talking about. The river is faster in the Upper Buffalo River area, and slower in the lower half. The Upper Buffalo River is seasonal, the lower year round.
Personally I would allow all day and take advantage of the places where you can stop and take short hikes to points of interest.
Without question, I would recommend the Upper Buffalo River over the lower river. It is far more scenic, with more attractions. Best float in the entire Ozarks.
