Survival Knives What, In Your Opinion, Is The Best Steel For Wilderness Survival Knives?

What, in your opinion, is the best steel for wilderness survival knives? - survival knives

I say this because I am trying to get a Recon Scout Knife San Mai III.

304 stainless steel is widely used and works well. It will be an advantage if they are sharp.

316 is a better grade, but not so often in blades. It is also a little harder to sharpen.

All of them are a good choice.

Steel as the best bid or steel as a material for the knife? Like I said steel surgical equipment is good, because at best deer hunting knife, or search for Kershaw knives.
